What is the Construction Innovation Scholarship?

The Construction Innovation Scholarship is designed to provide an invaluable professional development opportunity for those working towards a career in construction management. The core focus of this scholarship is Innovation. During the scholarship programme, you will be encouraged to consider new ideas and concepts which could be of benefit to the industry. In this way, the scholarship aims to inspire a culture of construction innovation by advancing the science and practice of construction through the adoption of new approaches.

This scholarship is a unique, exciting opportunity to focus on a specific area of construction design and project delivery whilst considering innovative ideas and approaches.

The scholarship is funded by the CIOB and can last for a maximum period of 18 months. After completing the scholarship, you will have all the experience, knowledge and confidence required to succeed as a construction manager.

There are a variety of core skills, behaviours and attributes which you will attain and build upon throughout the scholarship. These include strategic thinking, working independently, network-building, taking initiative and professionalism.
